How To" instructions for the new Gallery.

Link: http://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/

These are the 3 Navigation Tool Bars to use, I will refer to them as TB1, TB2, and TB3

Click on Create / order my albums from TB3
1.You should be able to see My Gallery
2.To create an album, click on the "New Album" button  in the bottom line
3.Click on the text input field to the right of that button then type in the album name you want to use
4.Click "OK" to submit your changes to the database. failure to do so will result in the loss of all the changes you just made.
(repeat steps 2 through 4 to add additional albums)
You can always return to this panel to edit and change album names, sort them within their parent category.

Uploading Pictures

Click on Upload file from TB1
Select the Album you wish to upload to
Click on the little Magnifying glass to find the location in your PC
Select the picture/s you want to upload, (double click for just one picture), (if there are multiples to go into the same album, hold Ctrl while you select them all) then click open, all pictures will be transferred.

Making an Album Private or Public,

Go to Modify my Albums Bottom TB3
Choose Album Select from the drop down menu.
(The next couple lines are self explanatory, Album Title, and Description),
To Set the permissions you want to apply

(These are the 5 choices you'll have for Album can be viewed by)
Everybody (Public Album)
Me Only
Members of the Registered Group (ie Members)

Complete the remainder of the settings for the rest of the lines.
When all settings are completed, click (Green tick) Update Album

(**NB, this is also where you can change the Name of your Album if required).

You'll need to do this for each Album you have created.

**If you have specified a password in the field "Album password", the dropdown list "Album can be viewed by" will default to "Me only". That is expected behaviour and is perfectly fine if you want password-protection enabled. In other words: if you specify an album password, you can not restrict access further.

A note to those trying to upload images to the public albums that I have already created.  Firstly, I have to approve all images uploaded to those albums.  Secondly, those images will be publicly visible to anyone, you do not need to be a forum member to see them.  Finally, I'd appreciate it if you could fill out the details along with the image.  Including the country, year, denomination, grade etc.  A description would be good too.  The reasons for this will become apparent soon.

I'm lost already and the new location isn't up yet.

I hope there will be a big HELP button somewhere?

That's right, the new forum is no different to this one.  The gallery is new and if you don't want to use it then you dont have to :)

Maybe everyone is taking this wrong. It's not a new forum. It's exactly the same but it's just moving house. You'll log in just the same.

There will be the added feature of the image gallery but that will simply be another link up the top right of the screen for a new function you can use or not, your choice.
