Go through an auction house if there is better grade stuff or lots of volume.
They do all the work.
Only downside is you have got to wait a number of months.

Find out what the auction house fees are also.
They can vary quite a bit.
I've always sold with one particular QLD house as they do not charge seller's commission/fees.

Selling on Ebay is OK if there are a few items only.
Otherwise its too time consuming.

I would not sell to a local dealer unless I was desperate.
At the very least wait till there is a coin show and you can get a quote from multiple dealers at the same time.

The halfpenny DDR sounds like a new one.

I think there are four - Two PCSG graded and two in the Nobles archive.

Looks like the same die chip on the first two, to me.

The PCGS pop report images show the SD.
Its hard to see but its there.

Agree with Mr T - fairly sure they are all dropped 1.

Some circulation strike Canberra florins were struck from proof dies also .

IIRC There was a recent article in one of the publications which explained it.
Will post the link if I can find it.
Basically its die deterioration.

Most likely die fill.

Majority are raw.
A few are PCGS graded but MS63 is the best.

Time has come to sell my pre-decimal varieties.
These have been collected over a period of forty years.
Too many to list individually.
Some are a bit obscure ie not in the catalogues.
Let me know if you are after anything specific and I will send pics and prices.
There are a few high grade examples but most are average circulated.

A few:
1934/3 "overdate" sixpences
1934/3 "overdate" shillings
"Manders Twible" florins
1928 Swatow shillings
1952 Perth pennies with different serifs - pointed square tilted wedge
1951 PL penny no mintmark
1959 Perth penny no mintmark - two examples
1933/2 overdate halfpennies
etc etc etc

1922s are one of the worst strikes.
Old rusty dies.

Pics are not ideal.
But I cant see any reason it wont grade at PCGS.
63RB or maybe 64RB on a good day.
