Well I was just on the partners ebay accout and went to war with a fellow bidder, was a tough few clicks for that last 10 seconds but alas I conquered lol. Yep feeling happy, just spent $36 on a 1968 2 Cent which looks real nice, I have to wait for it to rock up for some photos.

What's the nicest looking "68" that you have?

Matt

ausjack

This is the auction photo, what do you think AusJ? Like I said though I will post some photos when it arrives.

Yeah I'd swap ya if ya really wanted..that's only if you really wanted to :mocking: Looks pretty good mate. It'll be good to see some decent close ups :good:

It might just be me but the colour suggests that its been harshly polished. For that price i would want to be getting a pretty nice coin.

Just had a look at the one he has listed now and it is polished to heck. If you havent paid yet then i would recommend not.

Personally, I wouldn't ever buy on the basis of such crappy photos. Neither coin looks quite right, and its not possible to really judge why, so you have to assume they're tampered with and back away, IMHO.

Ah well shit happens if it is cleaned, don't mind either way still have a nice looking coin.

You can always leave them nice feedback if not happy, just a thought :)

We've all been there......rush of blood while bidding furiously.

My worst was on 2000 mule. Thankfully it all worked out.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on this one.

Thanks mate, I reckon my heart would have exploded if I was bidding on a 2000 like I was the 68... I'm only 26 and I haven't felt my heart pump so fast lmao..

To make matters worse, I was in the Netherlands so the auction ended at 4am. I was also on a really dodgy connection, so the reload rate kept playing up.

It's amazing how sniping gets the adrenalin going

MattGold

True nothing worse than a crappy connection when you are trying to bid fast.

The 2 cent arrived today and it has been cleaned like there is no tomorrow:dodgy::dodgy::dodgy:. Always trust good pics not dodgy pics is now my new motto.

Thanks everyone for your input, maybe next time I will post on here if I'm unsure about a coin I'm want to bid on.

Just thought I'd post a pic of the "68".. Just making sure that everyone still thinks it's been cleaned. It looks a lot different under the scanner than in the hand.
