Mark did you know that you can leave follow up feedback to the feedback you have already left?

Enjoy yourself.

Did anyone confirm it is a copy.  I can't find them on any of the regular China websites but looking at the obverse, the C in Carolus and the second A in Gratia are both touching the bust and close to the denticles.

This image from Wikipedia:

and every other image I can find shows a clear gap at both the top and bottom of the lettering and the A is closer to the front of the robe than the first shoulder flap.

It can be a mistake to underestimate human greed and human stupidity.

The bidder has 779 feedback ,mainly buying coins from all over the world (WTF ),you'd think they would have some research skills seeing FB score like theirs.

Now, I'm not calling this dodgy... but I don't think this description is quite right either:

QuoteDetails: Interesting double strike error. This coin has been struck once, failed to eject from the collar, rotated 90 degrees, and then been struck again. It has resulted in an overlapping of the relief and a clear '10' being struck ninety degrees to the first. It is a bit hard to see in the photo, but when light is reflected off of the coin, it is clear to see. Very nice and almost certainly unique.

If it happened like he describes, then I would think both sides would be affected. Yet the obverse is normal.

Its got me stumped. Anybody got any clues?

Looks to me like it had a pool of clear 'resin' or similar applied, then the rev of another coin pushed into it to make an impression in the resin, but hey what do I know?

If it happened as described by the seller, wouldn't the Obv have a double image as well instead of being perfect?
