So has anyone found any 2012 $1 'cause I have heaps of everything except the $1..must be going to be a low mintage IF they did any

Thanks Dave, seem like there's still none in the pond yet and trout has a 2013, the mint or gov are up to something but I've talked about a similar thing with $5 notes..very strange indeed :scratch_one-s_head:

I still have a couple of spare 2012 mint sets I haven't broken into mate , I bought these mainly for the coloured 50 cent coin.
There was a burst of spakalarklay 2010 $1 coins over in the west a couple of months ago.
I even found a 2011 $1 coin as well.
I recon these Mint buggers are yanking our chain:dodgy:
Why would they release the 2013 edition of the $1 coin without putting out the "old stock".
Its got ME confused.

My money is on 2012 $1 being a mint set only date.

it's stating to look that way enworb, we normally get the new coins from about september on so should have had them a few months ago..gee's we've hadthe bloody $2 poppy..ya might want to hold on to all ya mint sets trout as they could end up in demand and witht he 50 cent who knows

In another thread discussing the 2013 MOR there is a comment that "the 2012 dollars were here early this year".

Has anyone found this coin in circulation.
The only 2012 MOR I have seen is Mint set origin.

The only new MOR I see atm is the 2013.

sorry sulla , it was my mistake ,, it was the 2012 x .50 c coin I must have been thinking  about , and not the dollar , if I find any I will let you know ..       ,, kel ,,

I get lots of $1 coins in the vending machines, I don't recall ever seeing a 2012 $1 coin, I got plenty of the supposedly low issue year 2000 $1 coin, but no 2012s

Meh, I gave up on sets years ago. Only thought to grab these when I realised that I too haven't seen the dollar in circulation. Oh well.
