Quote from: 'trout' pid='41213' dateline='1391882858'I cancelled the 99 cent auction on the incused coin and relisted it with a "Buy it Now" price.
It lasted 6hrs on eBay and Sold for $500.
Just goes to show that sometimes getting a coin graded and slabbed can make a hell of a difference to the market value :ok:

I think that interest has also picked up for this coin in the last 6 months because they are impossible to find in high grade

There are a plethora of "So Called" High Grade incused coins listed on eBay but 99% of them aren't high grade and to my knowledge NONE of them have been graded by either NGC or PCGS.

Yeah I've seen a lot of ebay listings that picture a high grade coin but they are only selling their unpictured roadkill

Scan doesn't show the blazing lustre on the coin. It had freshly removed from an original mint bag when I found it (along with a few others) in Peter Strich's stockbook.
I don't intend putting it on ebay.
Before I sent it over I asked if they would grade it as an incuse. They said they would; but didn't.

Now your talking :good:

I  have another couple of nice ones to send over, I wonder if NGC will put the incused flag on the slab.
One of these is MS 62-64 the other I recon would get a AU55 :)

Did mine come out of the same bag?

Thanks Bruce,
While you blokes were hunting mules and waveys I was quietly hunting incused :)

It does have a couple of "Bag Marks" on the obverse that will bring it down to MS64 I recon :dash1:
I will find out when I send it into PCGS :ok:

That is a little bit cheeky, as he hasn't paid for the coin yet.
Do you have link for that sale?
