You certainly were a "busy little bee" weren't you stevo1962.

Just getting rid of some bulk and some of my higher value coins that I have better examples of.Had some unexpected bills just before christmas
so just trimming the collection a bit.Still have another 100 or so lots to list over the next couple of weeks

I have 33 items ending in the next couple of hours and they are starting to look interesting.
This is the fun part :)

Mine have done very well this weekend considering that they are leftovers from bulk purchases so really cost me nothing  just time although my technique for getting full exposure is a bit extreme.I email all of my customers from the previous 2 months .This time it was 54 emails so the chances of increased sales are maximised

90% of mine were return buyers with a couple of new faces :)
I am flat out listing things let alone doing a mass email

Yes it does take time but it's definitely worth the effort and many of the buyers appreciate the heads up:good: One guy came in and placed about
60 bids soon after I emailed him

I rather like the idea of sending my coins to Walter and he does ALL the work.
He also charges less than eBay/paypal to boot :yahoo::)

That's a good option for better quality coins but not the shrapnel that I'm selling

Well, I have had a break over the "silly season" but am easing back into selling now.
I think the holiday time is better for buying than selling -plenty of good items only attract minimal bids.

Anyway, nothing special for me; just clearing some more of my left over market stall stock. 1986 $1 dollar "PEACE" - UNCIRCULATED

Cheers and happy new year everyone,
Jeff
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

I had a look at Trouts listings and noticed that it had a nice Canberra florin PCGS MS63 as "Choice Uncirculated". Is there a common agreement on what level "Choice" applies and indeed at what level "Gem" applies?
I've noticed a few (all reputable) sellers having MS65 coins as Gem:scratch_one-s_head: , so does that make MS66, 67 and 68 better than gem?
Am I being too harsh (or the industry too lax) in describing MS60-62 as UNC (with issues), MS63-64 as UNC, MS 65 as Choice Unc and MS66-68 as Gem?
Even MS66 might only be Choice Unc to the purists.
Is this opening a can of worms:diablo:
