Walter always says "harshly" and I have never seen "gently cleaned" before.
From the photos it does look quite a reasonable coin but, pics. a little grainy so, maybe, that hides cleaning marks?

Hi Jeff, i agree it's probably been cleaned or polished with one of those silver polishing cloths maybe,i seen a bloke use one on a tall ships 88 50 & it looked just like that after he was done.
Telling him it was the wrong thing to do was like :dead_horse:
