Too much time,effort and money have gone into this collection so I recon Flock the Hocking :angel:

Has anyone got a "Shallow" and a normal mintmark of the same coin and mintmark they can take a pic of so I can see the difference between them :angel:

GS i think he means any coin that comes in both varieties. For instance the Gallipoli with the different font.

Anyone will do.
Eureka Stockade, Gallipoli, TV or Sydney harbour bridge will do.
I just want to see if there is enough difference between these coins to be remarkable enough to add to my collection.
You have to remember that the different packaging has NO relevance to me :ok:

I accept there is a variety but they are the same coin. Just like the 1920 pennies come in several varieties.

From them pic's the mintmark isn't a different design just weaker on the portable press issue, Which in my eyes makes it a Variety and NOT a different mintmark.

Scans don't do them justice. Too flat.

You really need them in hand to compare side by side.

They really are different coins, even if they may look like the heavy press versions.

With respect fulvio and to pp that doesn't convince me. The shallows are a variety. It was not the intent of the RAM to produce different coins. Dozen matter anyway, I'm not gonna include them in my collection. :yahoo: :popcorn:

Just out of curiosity how many of our members actually do have the complete set of 25mm Dollar coins ?
I'm not talking about errors  but all the circulation and nclt coins :ok:
