1956 New Zealand Penny - Strapless

1956 penny - strapless variety.

You are welcome, its a nice coin, they reckon just between 10,000 and 40,000 were made.
NZ was one of the last places to abandon this "strapless" effigy, the UK and Canada did during 1953, Australia in 1954 and only in NZ did we wait until 1956 and that year you get the penny and 3d that are strapless. Bizarrely 1957 saw a run of strapless 6d's.

Of course of all the coins, the penny is the rarest.
