The Mint will be bringing a selection of never-before-seen items from our National Collection, along with a range of products available for purchase.
However, the Mint will not be conducting a coin swap at the Brisbane Money Expo 2026.

Thanks Jen. Typical re the coin swap. They often treat Queensland like rubbish.

Went along on the Saturday and couldn't believe the crush, there were two lines extending well out past the entrance and down the footpath. One line was for ANDA products, the other for RAM stuff. Upon arrival I was approached by one disgruntled person who said he wasn't wasting his time lining up for entry and was going home. I don't think he realised you could walk straight in if not looking for ANDA or RAM products. Once inside it was a crush and very difficult to navigate at times, leading me to think if the venue was large enough. Don't know how things were on the Sunday, but I reckon the sellers of goodies and food would have been happy. Often hear comments of how the hobby is in decline, judging by the avarice of attendees I think coin and banknote collecting is alive and well.

What you probably saw was the crush of speculators who line up and line up to get cheap coins to hock on eBag, although there should have been less of them due to RAM not doing coin swaps for Queensland.

The RAM did have both B and Map counterstamp dollars though. Each in five different cards for those who collect packaging.

I've given up collecting mint marks and counterstamps for Australia.

Same for me. The counterstamp dollars had my attention for about 20 years, but I gave up at the end of QE11's reign, which did make a complete set.
