I was wondering if I could please get some assistance?

I bought some notes today from Australia Post and I was hoping to get some more information about them?

I bought a next generation of $50 set

A next generation $10 set

And a fairy wren stamp set

I'm pretty much looking for mintages and values if I can?

All items are still sealed.

I'm new to stamp collecting and I was also wondering if anyone knew where I can buy some stamps? Looking to potentially buy some stamp books in good condition.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Heyman,i'll leave the notes to the experts but you can't beat Ebay for Stamps,just be careful of the scammers.

Coins & Stamps also appear on Gumtree,bulk buys and the like,again be careful of the fraudsters.

I'm not sure about the mintages of those RBA sets - maybe mintages weren't released?

Much as I like stamp collecting, basically it is like tearing your money in half and throwing half down the toilet.
You can often buy full decimal mint sets for about 60% of face value because Australia Post found from the 80s onward that it could fleece collectors constantly for a revenue hit.
The only stamps worth buying that have any value are mint pre-decimal stamps as they have no postal value.

The hobby of stamp collecting was finally ''destroyed'' here in Germany a few years after we switched from Deutsche Mark to Euro.
Deutsche Post had said they would redeeme Deutsche Mark stamps ''indefinitely.'' Meaning they would keep their ''monetary value.'' But, ''indefinitely'' lasted a few years only. (I would have to check how many actually. But it was not much). Stamps in DM lost their ''postage value'' in one swift move basically overnight. (Very good for the balance sheet of Deutsche Post). That, together with a huge deluge of commemorative stamps which began in the early 1990s, put a final nail into the coffin.
These days, you can get DM stamps (there aren't really rare ones) for 10% of their fave value. At least, that is what I had been told by a collector a couple of years ago.

I used to dabble in stamp collecting too - I don't remember when I stopped but I think it was a bit before things got crazy.
But it seems to me that only the old stuff has kept its value.

I stopped buying Aussie stamps 2 or 3 years ago. It was just getting too much. I still keep any stamp that comes in the mail, but that is not a lot these days.
