So the Sydney ANDA coin expo was on yesterday and today. I was going to go yesterday, but my son wanted to go to the movies with me (it was the first time he's ever asked, how could I prioritise a coin show over quality family time?).

Well, it was annoying today when I trekked into the city, lined up early and was second in line.
Only to find out, they had sold out of everything yesterday.

Pretty annoyed. There is so little information about these things as well.
I don't use Facebook, but I was looking at their page, and the lack of information about the day was astounding.

I wish I hadn't put a $5 note in the gold coin donation slot, as I left a minute after entering

At least you have access to these types of shows .We never get anything like that

I guess I was also annoyed because on Tuesday I drove down to Canberra for my annual visit to the Mint.
They had sold out of 2022 Proof Sets. WTF?!?!

Thursday was my leaving day, so I stopped back in. Still sold out, they haven't restocked.

Double WTF!!?!

In a time of increased interest in numismatics (with the passing of the Queen), they are really dropping the ball.

Don't proof sets have a mintage limit? If they've sold out, that's it, they're all gone. They can't make more.

In the last decade I think at least one year had limited uncirculated sets (probably proof sets too) but it was something like a limit of 100,000.

The 2022 Uncirculated and Proof sets are back in the Mint's eShop.  They were sold out for a while -- glad to see they minted some more.

Thanks for the heads up WT. We had a Granddaughter born this year and I've been looking at ebay for a proof set. Thought I was needing to pay silly money for a while there.   :thank_you:
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I\'ve forgotten the other two!
