1959 penny. Condition not important as long as it's straight -only going to be used on a key ring.
Just my luck that FC Holdens were built in a very low mintage year. Looked through about 2kg of scrap pennies and not one 1959.

Whew! That's good Jeff, I was starting to worry that it hadn't. (I had a coin that I bought not long back from ebay that didn't show up (a first for me), was a tad annoyed).

Australia Post can sometimes, actually often, be slow but don't lose many items.
I had a battery charger I sent back to the manufacturer, for warranty repair, never got delivered. Eventually A.P. paid me $100 which was way less than the value of the item -large backup charger for a solar installation. I gave the customer a new one so I was well out of pocket on that one.

A.P. never mentioned to me that an employee at the mail centre serving the factory had been charged with theft. Many items had gone missing in the previous few months. I never found out about that until many months later when a fellow solar installer drew my attention to a court report in the Newcastle Herald. Found guilty on several charges, substantial fine and community service. Too late then for me to do much about my loss. Australia Post said I could take legal action against the ex (by then) employee.
