For those looking to keep the coin, a limited edition uncirculated version is available to purchase from the Royal Australian Mint, the eShop or the Contact Centre (1300 652 020) from 8.30am, 1 April 2021.

It isn't going to turn out to be an April Fool's joke is it? Coin looks pretty good.

It's actually disgusting how a RAM authorised dealer is selling these at the price when they are not even sold out

Well I couldn't get a roll of these at issue price from any of my dealers so I was relying on Downies mail order but no, they had sold out. They said they would put me on a watch list in case they got more supply. I wasn't holding my breath.

Last night got an email saying they now had stock.
So what was the price?
Surprisingly the same $99.95 and even better, they waived the postage fees.
Kudos to Downies I say.

WOW. That's excellent.
Whilst we get gouged from time to time, it's good to see some decency from time to time.

As a collector of modern American coins, they set the low bar on how to release a coin. Such dodgy, exclusionary practices. Like, it's easy to think we are hard done by, but there is always someone able to do it worse

OK Runway but why is there heaps of ads on ebay and other coin forums for rolls of these coins.

Where oh where did they get them from?

I haven't been paying a lot of attention but the rolls I've been seeing are all RAM issued ones. They may be "official" releases or some rejects dumped with banks. I don't know. As far as I know I haven't seen any security ones or just loose in change but I may well be wrong. Still think it is a nice looking coin. I wouldn't mind getting some in change.
