For Petersham coin fair the next date is 31st May and is still "to be confirmed".
Read up a bit on the big Corona Virus outbreak of the late 19th century (the Russian Flu), as it mutated the bug came back in 3 waves about 3-4 years apart and killed a few million, does this mean the various coin fairs might be disrupted for the next decade?

Considering that this virus seems to have a propensity to mutate a lot of things might continue to be disrupted for some time.

There was a health expert on TV the other night saying we will NEVER be rid of Covid19, it doesn't matter how many of our population get vaccinated, it will continue to mutate here or overseas.
We would have to be 100% isolationist and stay that way to have any chance of getting rid of it.
That isn't going to happen.

That's is what I heard too. It will a case of every winter we will have cold, flu and covid season,
instead of just cold and flu season.

Oh gweidion, I agree that it will be forever. That strain from the 1880s is still around and along with 3 other strains of coronavirus it accounts for about 10% of cases of the common cold. Plus the current strain has now established itself in a number of mammals (wild and domestic) so it won't be possible to get rid of it. How can we isolationist when there are still over half a million Australians overseas, so do we cut off all contact with them or stop people here from visiting their overseas relatives?
I just hope the coin fairs don't require masks or social distancing as they won't fit everybody in.

Yes the Spanish flu pops up every now and again, a couple of Winters back they were calling it the Brisbane flu.  

I have no sympathy for any Aussies who didn't heed the warning back in March and April that we would be closing up shop and if you don't come home now you'll be out of luck.
Plenty of warnings were issued. Now they'll have to ride out the zombie apocalypse where they are until we get around to picking them up. A failure to plan on their part does not make an emergency on my part.

And no one should be in cities quarantining as seen by the failures. It should all be places like Howard Springs and Fort Lytton.
At least Howard Springs will be easy to nuke if it gets out of hand.

gweidon; It wasn't a matter of not heeding the warnings, there simply was no seats or planes available to come back. The airlines were not answering phones, confirmed seats were cancelled (happened to us 7 times) and many flights required changing planes in either very expensive cities or in isolated turd world cities with an even chance the onward leg would be cancelled stranding passengers for weeks or months in places like Central Asia.  Many airports were closed, for example Cairo airport was supposed to close until 31 March (but didn't reopen until 1st July).
Also there were almost NO warnings issued, it was quite safe to travel in early March (except to China, Iran and Italy) and then suddenly the governments decided to declare a pandemic with many airports shutting with only hours of notification.
The airline we had return tickets on (Etihad) were not answering the phone, their website said that they would only deal with those whose flights were within 48 hours and they shut their office in Egypt. The Australian embassy also shut its doors and put up a sign that they could be contacted by phone (we had repeatedly tried phoning them and had only gone to the embassy to see if they were working).
Plus many of the half million still overseas couldn't return; examples I know of include people who were waiting for passports for their new baby, people waiting for a visa for their spouse, people in hospital at the time, children visiting grandparents whose parents were not allowed to leave Australia to pick them up (and their grandparents cannot enter Australia to return them) and the airlines won't let the kids travel without a relative. Plenty had tickets and plans to return but when governments repeatedly change things they mess those plans. They said the border closure would be a few weeks to a few months and told all the stranded Australians to ride it out, now 11 months later they still can't organise things and still refuse entry to Australians (but can somehow make space for thousands of foreign "sportsmen" to come to play cricket and tennis  and cause dozens of new infections).
Also some people had tickets on airlines that no longer fly to Australia (due to the quarantine cap making it uneconomic), some airlines required booked passengers to rebook cancelled flights through their travel agent (we were lucky in this regard as our travel agent wasn't one of the 50% of agents that shut shop and we had family here to keep rebooking for us) and most airlines have restrictions on flying passengers with expired passports (people have been stranded these past 11 months in countries with no Australian embassy and cannot cross borders to countries with embassies to renew them).
Plus the quarantine cap means airlines bumped passengers with economy tickets and are now only selling the premium seat; ands at an outrageous price (to fly a family of 5 one way now costs over $100,000 from some countries). I know of stranded people who have spent $60,000 on tickets and then had the flights cancelled with a long wait (years if ever) to get a refund.
We even had travel insurance, but most insurers had clauses in the fine print that make it impossible to make a claim. And our plans at least allowed us to ride out 6 months or more overseas without going broke, but most peoples plans don't cover the Australian government refusing to allow them back and at current rates it will be 2022 until all those who want to come back can.

Hi, does anyone know if there would be a dealer at the Brissie money expo that can submitt notes to PMG  in America??..

I know Imperial does submissions to PCGS for note grading.
Imperial is the old Melbourne Mint and prior to that, Cotton and Co.
I assume they will do less than 20 although I submitted 21 to get the extra discount. I don't know if they are going to the Brisbane Expo however.
