Apparently PCGS don't use gloves when handling coins is this true?

Gloves are not generally required for handling coins. Coins are somewhat more resilient than that. On the other hand, gloves can make it a little harder to handle the coins and wearing them may make coins more prone to dropping.

Even gloves are a bad idea .When I started collecting coins I was using gloves because I listened to the "experts" but I was always dropping them so quickly realised it was a bad idea .I just hold the coin on the edge and don't touch the reverse or the obverse.It's just common sense

No they don't and neither do I as a general rule But when handling Proofs or Specimen coins I always use great care and don a pair of clean cotton gloves. 
I once had a batch of Silver proofs that ended up with fingerprints on them when slabbed and the ONLY place that could have happened is at PCGS during the grading process, However I had previously had hundreds of other silver proofs graded without incident.
