A batch of new releases from the RAM today as follows ... :yahoo:

2019 Lunar Year of the Pig - 50c Tetra-Decagon Uncirculated Coin
2018 Invictus Games Sydney - $1 Coloured Frosted Uncirculated Coin
2019 The Sixth Effigy - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II  - $1 Uncirculated Coin
2019 Lunar Year of the Pig - $1 Uncirculated Three Coin Set

The 2019 50 cent year of the pig just continues the series of 14 sided 50 cent coins at $12.50, this is the 8th one they have put out.

The 2018 Invictus Games $1 is a Coloured Frosted Unc $1 coin with a different design to the $2 one put into circulation, This one is $15.

The 2019 Sixth Effigy $1 is interesting. It has the Queen on both sides. The old 5th portrait is on the Reverse and the new 6th Effigy is on the Obverse. Also $15

The 2019 $1 3 coin Lunar Year of the pig set is a new format for the RAM. They have already gone through all the chinese lunar years on the $1 coin which started in 2007 (also with the Year of the pig). Now they have started the cycle again and they have put out 3 coins in a set with different designs at $30, so $10 each. (The old yearly single coins were $12.50each)

There are various other releases also in Silver and Gold but they don't interest me, too expensive.
Wish they would stop doing $5 coins in silver and go back to Aluminium bronze. :zomby:

Cheers Mike

The Invictus Games coin is a $1 NCLT coin:

Invictus Games - Sydney 2018
2018 $1 Coloured Frosted Uncirculated Coin

The RAM page had the wrong picture up this morning.

I don't think there ever a coloured $1 circulated coin? No?

Usually not a fan of the lunar coins. But these are very nice designs. That's one very happy pig.

Have just hung in for 12 years collecting the Chinese year coins with the Year of the Dog being the last of the series in 2018. Now they are kicking off again with the first cab off the rank being a three coin set of Year of the Pig.  Hmmmm not going there, I've done my time  :kez_11:
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Lol .. I know how you feel ... but they are nice coins and you get three for $30 instead of one for $12.50. :sun_bespectacled:  And just think in another 12 years you will have 36 more $1 coins ....... wait :s  ... oh shit :dodgy:  ....  that's worse than the alphabet coins, that was only 26. RAM what are you doing to us. :@

Got a delivery yesterday from the RAM. The 3 coin Year of the Pig set is very nice but the tricky bit is working out which Pig is which.

One is supposed to be represent Wealth (Lu), one is Happiness (Fu), one is Longevity (Shou) but unless you can read Chinese you haven't got a chance. I think the Chinese coin on the design is the key to which is which.

Anyone here read Chinese lol?
