What time zone is this forum using?
It is presently one hour ahead of Australian Eastern Standard Time which is not any time in the Australian time zones. The time it shows now would be correct for Noumea or Vanuatu.

Is it perhaps on AEDT (daylight saving) which finished nearly four weeks ago?
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

I was thinking it was 10 hours behind?

trout

It is SA timezone.
After all that's where the forum owners live :ok:

No, not SA time. I just logged out and then logged back in at AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time as they now call it) 5:30 pm and forum says "You last visited: Today, 06:30 pm". Adelaide, SA time then was 5:00 pm.
My initial thought was that it would be SA time.
Of course it doesn't matter a jot but I am curious about trivial things like that. [What did you say?..."Get a life!"]

I just scrolled to the very bottom of the page and on the right hand side it shows "current time",
which is exactly correct for where I am. When I log off, the time jumped forward 2 hours, which
would be eastern standard time.

It must be set by some setting or something as that's a lot of different times.

Current time in bottom right corner is correct for Brissie time 9:08PM.

Strange. If I come to the forum it shows the correct time for here. When I log in it shows time an hour later.

Correct time here, but then again I haven't logged out in years. Why would I, ever?

Click on "User CP" in the top left corner of any forum page. In the left-sidebar menu, scroll down to the "Your Profile" section and click on "Edit Options". Timezone selection is in the lower centre part of the screen.

That did the trick. Correct time zone was selected but also "always use DST correction".
So simple when you know. Thanks Sapyx.

Gee Sap, you're a whiz with all this knowledge.  :thank_you:

I had at some time in the past selected GMT + 10 Hours, but have no recollection of doing it.
