+1. All the coloured $2 coins should have been included.

Licensed coins can't be included as the agreements have expired for new productions.

Think of it like some music in video games. They have to stop selling it as the licence agreement expires, but those already made and sold under the original agreement can continue to be used.

Quote from: 'rismike' pid='115532' dateline='1527889146'The 12 coin $2 set might possibly include a unique coin. The 1988 version originally had the Reverse designers initials "HH" on it. I wonder if this re-issue has the initials or not? The initials were deleted from later releases.

Regards Mike

According to the pics I've seen, none of the coins have the "HH" initials on them. Furthermore, all of the coins are dated "2018", so 10 of the 12 coins are unique.

Here's a picture of the front and back of the set, courtesy of Downies:

As you can see, all of the coins have one of these 3 obverses:

Hence, the only non-unique coins are the Standard $2 with the IRB effigy and the coloured ANZAC $2 with the Eternal Flame.

It even says this on the back cover, just above the barcode: "Programs using licensed images have been excluded from this collection."

Thanks Hercules .... I didn't realise they were all dated 2018.  So most of them are unique as you say.

Also this is the RAM sticking 2 fingers up to the Royal Canadian Mint I reckon. What do you think?

Australian Decimal, UK Decimal, USA & Euro Coins are what I collect.

Read post #27 on the Red Poppy thread.

Absolutely!!

The wording on the booklet is not shy about mentioning colour printing technology, and the wording on their website leaves no doubt as to what they think of the Canadian Mint and their claims:
QuoteEach coin is a tribute to the Royal Australian Mint's creativity and manufacturing excellence, with eight featuring our colour-printing technology.

I notice that the 30th anniversary $2 set is being discounted. If you are looking for a set (or maybe a few) then might get cheaper elsewhere than the RAM shop.

Some of those have cheaper postage then the RAM. I bought five sets, including postage, for less then $350. RAM price is $75 per set.

my 2 sets cost me $ 75.00 ea plus $ 10.00 postage .
+ 2 of the 3 coin proof sets , missed them at the mint
so cost me 1 set at $ 200.00 free postage
 and 1 set at $ 200.00 plus $ 13.00 postage at the auction .
what was the mint selling them for ? the 3 coin sets ?
that is the difference when buying from the mint ,.

                        thanks .

Sold out on the RAM eShop in 3 hours apparently and dealers got onto it immediately with no limit for quantity which is why most customers missed out on issue price unfortunately  :@

Thanks for the heads up with the Lismore store.

Just went shopping and saved a bundle.

The Anzac rolls were the cheapest I've seen. https://www.onlinecoinsandcollectables.com.au/products/the-spirit-lives-anzac-2014-2018-1-official-circulating-rolled-coin-set

Also, if buying before tomorrow night, used the discount code FLASH for free shipping.

Cheers,
