Hello sorry if subject has a post but for the life of me I cannot find anything in the search.

Can I get help with the following ?

I believe the 1994 $20 Commemorative folders came out with the First note over printed  " 31 October 1994 " .

Was this the case for the Last and First Folder 2 x notes ?

Same for the the First Folder 1 x note ?

Were all folders First AA prefix ?

Were any 1994 $20 notes overprinted other than the first prefix ?

If someone could help  George.

Many moons ago when I worked in a cash handling environment, a customer paid for something with a note.
This is the same place (TAB) where I had a customer pay for a $3 bet with a proof $1 and $2 out of a set. Yoink!

Call it Aspergers, call it being observant, heck, call it random ... but I noticed something different with a note I was handed.
It had a date printed on it.
I was a teenager, who had a little coin collection going, but I certainly wasn't a noodler, or even serious about collecting. But, I swapped it with one of my own, and put it away till today.

It's not the best quaity, and it had certainly seen some hands before it got to mine.

Not an AA

Now that I am more seriously a coin collector, I wish I was still there ... though I don't miss the weekend work for $17 an hour

Yes the 1994 first of the polymer.
My understanding is RBA had a last and first that contained the Last Paper last prefix and a First Polymer AA first prefix.

"Australia 1994 Embossed Commemorative First and Last folder. Total sets issued 5,000 and was then sold for $129 per folder. This set comprises of 2 notes, one paper from the last print run and one polymer from the new print with AA94 first prefix. The paper note is printed with the last prefix of ADK. The folder for the notes are printed with a raised oval seal and it reads as "31 OCTOBER 1994 FIRST DAY OF ISSUE". Initial issue price was $66. "

Hi,
Yes the date over print was the one I meant.
Apologise response time had a long winded one in drafts trying to accumulate a half intelligent reply and lost it adding a photo. (gave up)
Turns out most if not all cases of date over print relate to NPA Folders and that goes fairly deep with changes and structure from one year to the next But dont take this as gospel as I know nothing it just seemed that way to me.
Not sure I like them difficult to store hard enough to enjoy a collection locked away.

This is some of what I found with this topic.

It was only the Embossed Folders that had the "ADK" last prefix Paper Notes & "AA" First Prefix Polymer notes.
The Standard Folders had a real mix & match but no "AA" Polymers

I love the twenty with red serials they are a real gem.
