How are all the noodlers going?

Are these true rotations? Most 1966 10c coins are rotated slightly, but I don't consider this to be a defect. Anything less than 15° is normal on this particular coin, anything between 15° and 30° is borderline, and anything more than 30° is cause for celebration. :winkextra:

Oh. Ok. I would say one is probably 15 to 20 and the other would 30 to 35 but I will have a double check when I get home. Thanks for letting me know.

Put most back into the pond, as 80 coins out of 200 is a bit too much for me to fork out unless they were rare. Anything before 2001 (except 1982) I kept, as well as the 2001 WA, 2014 and Changeover.

I try different banks all the time. I now have a list of banks where the actual tellers collect coins so I avoid those as I know I won't be getting anything of value there.

Hi Hercules,
As promised, I'm home from work and checked the 2 '66 10 cent coins. If I'm right ( big IF) and I went off what Downies have a picture of on their site, CW rotation, I am holding in my hot little hand, a 300 approx. degree and a 350-355 approx degree rotation.

Gday mate, would love to. They are already in 2.5 x 2.5 cos thats what I ordered. By doubt, do you mean you. I have no reason to lie. More than happy to post photos once I figure out how to. All I know is that I've sometimes found 1966 10c coins, thought they were rotated, but then, when I looked closer at them, I realised that they weren't. Okay. First off, I wasn't bragging but trying to share a story. If I was wrong, then fool on me. Not on you. Don't try to belittle someone who has just joined your forum. You should be encouraging new members, not trying to make a fool out of them. If Im wrong, which I will gladly admit to, then I'm wrong. So be it. I have been noodling my change for less than 2 weeks. I'm also not an idiot who would post something on the first forum I ever joined without being certain of my facts. Hi Nick,

Please don't take it personally. My background is in maths and science, so my natural instinct is to be sceptical of anything that sounds too good to be true, but once I get to know you better, that wariness will disappear. So far, I've noodled over a hundred 1966 10c coins, but not one of them has been rotated by more than a few degrees, so I know the probability of finding two rotated ones within a single batch must be extremely low, which is why I think you might have made a mistake, and am asking you for further verification. Please don't think that I have anything against you. I'm just doing what I've been trained to do from many years of study.

I am sure he would love for you to have found 2 rotated 10c coins (and so would i!).
Please keep posting, its a good place and you will get lots of good advice.
I have not done much searching recently, but have done a fair bit oflver the last few years.
I have found a fair number of interesting coins, but not a ritated 10c (yet!).
