I've just finished compiling my noodling stats for the old $10 note. The survey was conducted from May 2016 to September 2017, with the vast majority of the notes being noodled within the last 4 days. Here are the results:

Sample size: 485

Here's the equivalent set of results for last year's old $5 note:

Sample size: 532

Two 1993s - not bad. I've seen a handful in the last few years but they were all pretty ratty.
Surprised you found any pre-2000 $5 notes though.

You just need a big enough sample size. I reckon that most pre-2000 $5, $10 and $20 notes that are still in circulation were once hoarded for a number of years, either deliberately or accidentally, before being put back into the pond, which is why they're still in circulation when most of their peers have been destroyed. :ok:

Is anybody able to tell me if this is worth anything? Fantastic condition, came through my register at work

From a quick look at the signature I'm guessing an early 1990s issue.
If it's Unc or close enough it would be worth more than $10 I think, more if it's a first or last prefix.

Based on Maccas, I'd say it's a 1985 issue. Worth $50 in Unc, $35 in aUnc and $25 in EF, so definitely a keeper. :good:
