Yes, me too PPH, I'd only been able to see it for about an hour before your post.

All looks rather modern.

I'd noticed that facebook had changed a lot of their stuff to curves (corners and circles etc) and that the forum is similar.

All looks good to me though.

I'm still thinking about the Facebook circle option as even though the icons etc take up the same width and height, they no longer have as much actual real-estate as the full corner versions.

As for the forum I'm just glad it's now a less expensive option for you and Mark and I was pleased to get beyond the 404 this morning. :good:

The wiki has now been moved.  I'll be a day or two until the DNS servers update and it's visible again.

I was getting 404s this morning, but then I realised that all I had to do was change the address so that it went straight to the index page, rather than the error page, and then hit refresh. Presto! It worked perfectly from then on. I was a bit embarrassed that I hadn't thought of that earlier, but it's not every day that Mark puts us on a different server.

The main reason I dislike the new look is because there's much less contrast, which makes it hard for me to work out where I am in the thread. I liked the old one better because it had a nice blue banner at the top of each post, which helped to keep the posts distinct and separate. Now it just looks like one big long post instead of 10 or so individual ones.

I had that problem to Herc but as soon as I did what Mark recommended and did trhe ctrl f5 it all come into alignment so I could tell where the post starts so if you haven't tried the ctrl f5 please try that :good:

Mmm, that's funny Mark, when I use to add to a post straight away it use to just add to the bottom of the old one but just now it started a new page :scratch_one's_head:

WTF, I just hit the reply button (not edit) thinking it would let me change my post as I didn't do the scratch head properly and it put up the other sad emoji thing and I seen what Jeff meant about the emoji's not being full page so it's a bit harder finding the one you want.

all will be fine  :yahoo:

I had the horrible blue screen too, but hit f5 as suggested and all is sweet now. :)

I just discovered a problem with the spell-check feature, where it deletes a whole heap of text whenever you try to make a correction. I'm not sure whether it's forum-specific or browser-specific, but considering that it didn't do this before the upgrade, I'm leaning towards the former.

When I load some images to the Gallery, there's no forum linking code.

AJ:

I am not sure what you're telling me in all your posts.  Perhaps you can amalgamate them into one and explain what you're trying to say a bit more clearly.

JEFFH/AJ :

The smiley window now appears to be some sort of javascript window rather than a new browser window (which is what is used to be).  I can probably poke around and make the window bigger but you're not going to be able to maximise it like you used to whatever I do.

NANCY:

Forum linking code is back.

HERCULES:

When you were getting the spell checking problem were you adding a new thread or replying to a post?  I have also made a small change to the forum styling to (hopefully) make the distinction between posts in a thread a bit more apparent.
