Year 2000 Victoria Cross Dollar

I have a question for the numismatic experts on here ...

In Greg McDonalds book the year 2000 VC coin on page 179 of Edition 22 is shown in 2 separate listings.

A Gallery Press "Mint Your Own" coin with 49,879 examples being minted ... these are shown with a "C" Mintmark.

Also a PNC version with 48,830 examples being minted/issued. These are shown without a Mintmark.

Over on the Australian Coin Collecting blog both coins are shown as having no Mintmark....

So my question is ... Is there  Mintmarked version out there?

Must admit I thought the 2000 $1 Victoria Cross coins were only issued in the special folder/wallet and the PNC. Wasn't aware of any MYO version.

That's what I thought too Pedro, the Gallery MYO coin in the year 2000 was the HMS Sydney coin I believe with 86,900 being minted. I have the 2000 VC coin in a tall folder not in the typical MYO small folder.

I don't have my Macca's with me at the moment but I strongly suspect that this is a "typo" as I was very meticulous when I put my 25mm dollar collection together and I cannot recall seeing or even hearing of a MYO 2000 VC coin.:ok:

Looks like a typo in Greg's book. The figure of 49,979 is correct but it's not mintmarked or gallery press -it's the one we all know in the tall red and black VC folder. The Australian Coin Blog information is correct.
