Two reasons to visit Swindon

I just saw a mention of Swindon on a TV show which reminded me of a visit there some time ago.
It was high on my list when we were touring England but wife and daughter were most unimpressed when they found out why.
It all worked out well. Parked the car and I headed to the STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway the prime reason for me wanting to be there. The best railway museum I have ever visited and the site of (allegedly) the largest locomotive works in the world in its heyday. (Eat your heart out Fulvio.)
Meanwhile the women had spotted  the Swindon Designer Outlet next door.
We met up several hours later and everyone was happy. My costs were much less than theirs but, somehow, it all came out of my pocket -still trying to figure out that swindle!
Highly recommended to visit if ever in that locality -something for everyone.
