I'm somewhat more optimistic than you are. The Changeover 50c was circulating in Brisbane a month after its release, so I wouldn't be surprised if the 2017 50c does the same.

It take quite some time for the newer coins to filter through to country WA and when they do eventually show up they are normally pretty knocked about :cray:

Hi All,
I also noodled a couple of 2017 50c last week, in Western Sydney from rolls from St George bank.

And received another 1 in change this morning, while buying the ANZAC coin.

I still haven't found any here in Brisbane, but the Standard 2016 50c is becoming much more plentiful. At the beginning of the year, I was only getting 2 or 3 per $120, but now I'm getting 6 or 7. I reckon we'll start getting the 2017 ones when they finish using up the 2016 ones. :good:
