There are 1200 of these available via Ballot.
Ballots have to be in by 14/12/16.
$15 for the set and $10 postage.
Packkyboxitis isn't really my "Thing" But I am putting a ballot in, Only one set per Legend Member :ok:

Mister T

What's special about it? Just the $1?

LooseChange

Im not a Legend Member, so i will get some from the post office :D

What exactly are the benefits of being a legend other than vouchers as mentioned here https://www.ramint.gov.au/legends?

trout

There is Nothing incredibly "Special" about any on the coins themselves .
The "C" Mintmark $1 is from the Gallery Press and all the other coins are circulation issues.
The only thing unique here is the packaging, Hence the "Packkyboxitis" reference in my initial post :ok:

These are only available by ballot. Limited to 1200
I don't think that the Post Office will be getting any.
Unless it is like the Queens 90th Birthday order. Time will tell.

If the RAM does release these through Post Offices then I shall end my coin collecting and sell the bloody lot off.

I have heard, how true it is I can't confirm, that the RAM were selling the $0.50c pieces with the "M" Counterstamp that were left over from the World Stamp Expo held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre some time ago, at a Canberra Stamp Fair held recently.   These are the $0.50c pices that one had to purchase in a PNC at a cost of $30.00.   A total of 7,500 PNC's were up for sale limited to 1,250 per day of the show.   Any PNC's not sold on the day were destroyed.   So there should only be 7,500 of these coins about or less.

I think that RAM is under the impression that we collectors have short memories and sneak in things at a later date thinking we won't notice.
I don't think that they would be stupid enough to mess with the mintage of these Legends sets But anything else seems to be fair game :(

There will of course be the usual eBay suspects that will have Rorted the system with the Legends sets and have multiple listing for these pretty much as soon as they are available despite a limit of one set per member :dodgy:

RAM have offered these to Legends Members only exclusive ballot nothing to do with Australia Post.
During Canberra Stamp Show 2016 Australia Post randomly gave out M Counterstruck 50c in change to customers during the 3 day event which had nothing to do with RAM
