Over the past months, I have been approving and/or deleting quite a few posts by our 2 favourite forum malcontents via the Mod queue. The most recent was by runway, posted on 5 Nov, and I deleted it yesterday, which was my only Mod activity.

When I looked this morning to see for sure that I had deleted it, it shows "Selected Posts Approved" but the post is definitely gone.  So I looked at the Mod Logs, and none of my activities indicate that I have ever deleted any posts at all.

I thought that there would be 'some sort of record' of deleted posts, but if the program only indicates that posts deleted by me have been approved, there's no way of knowing how many posts I have in fact deleted, therefore no way of keeping track of how many nasty posts there have been by the aforementioned malcontents.

There are a couple times back in Aug when "Deleted Selective Posts" shows up, but they were posts I deleted from within the threads, not through the Mod queue. :scratch_one-s_head:

Is this an anomaly, or is it meant to be that way?

That post you are talking about has nothing in the "information" column. Have to keep an eye on what it says when you delete more posts -I assume(from the log) you haven't deleted anything today. Looking back further it appears when you delete a post that's what it says and there's no post as it's deleted.

What I'll try is to delete from within the thread, not via Moderation queue, and I'll see how it goes.

I suspect that it's just the way it works Nancy.   I don't see any logs on the admin side of things showing that you've deleted the posts that were not approved.

Posts I have deleted are from within the thread and not from moderation queue.
