Me too!

That's half the Fun.
Most of us have plenty to choose from But it's finding something that you think will bring some Joy to the recipient that is tough, Especially when there is nothing in their profile

My recipient has lots of good coins -much more and better than mine.
What should I send? Will need to think about it for a bit.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

This is not a trading session,It is a gift exchange.
It doesn't matter what you send as long as YOU think they may like it or that YOU think it is interesting.
It may sound cleche But it really IS the thought that counts :)

Jeff,
I understand your dilemma, but I am sure your gift will be appreciated.
I'll send you a PM with some thoughts.

Goldseeker

I was in the same dilemma but after searching around, I have found something.

I trust that the gift will be loved and appreciated for what it is meant to be.

I went to the post office today to post some more stuff and the girl told me that my SS parcel was a tad overweight But she sent it off anyway.
I hope there won't be a problem at the other end.
I sent it in one of them pre paid plastic bag thingies, So I am hoping there wont be a drama with it.

I got my SS gift yesterday which reminded me I had a heap of goodies arrive along with an eBay purchase which had something missing -the stamps! It was a stampless registered letter that slipped through the eagle eyes of AP this silly season. Hmmmm perhaps the sender is getting a fine for Christmas.
Thankyou to my SS for the gift (and AP for the uncancelled stamp ). I am struggling to pick out something suitable for my giftee.

From the crowd I saw at my PO the other day I imagine that AP is starting to feel the Xmas rush and some things are slipping through the cracks.
I hope so anyway because it will be bloody embarrassing if my recipient has to pay the extra postage because of my stuff up, Or worse they send it back so I have to do it all over again and it gets there too late for Christmas .
What's the "Go" with sending something in a pre paid bag that is a bit overweight ?

I was charged $2.70 for an undercharged parcel - covered in types of stamps not a repaid satchel - had a big stamp _ UNPAID POSTAGE or something like that

I had bought off the seller heaps - but wait they were not quite 'real stamps' they were some sort of white post office ? un-used ? printed label - for example, post code 4211 to post code 2155 - none of the towns where i live or where it came from and I let him know about it

he told me to go back to the post office and demand my money back

needless to say the seller has lost a long time customer as I thought it was pretty damn rude and if that was a sign of the future dealings, i didn't want to know about it

there is a difference between buying stamps at auctions which is perfectly legal

don't worry about your parcel until you have to Trout

missing stamps probably happens from time to time
it's possible too that if the stamps or postage paid label were on at the time of postage and the label has peeled off or been bumped off during handling after it crossed the counter

I doubt it would get picked up. I had about 2kg turn up one day in a 500g bag with no consequences for me. Don't know about the seller. Perhaps some of it is just luck. I wouldn't worry.
