As this design hasn't changed in 32 years the chances of this being an omission in the design is slim to none.
Your images show the progression of a "Die Fill" perfectly AJ.:ok:
Also great images Mate :good:

Thanks mate. Yes you can sort of see how the leg disappears. I have quite a few of these at all different stages. I probably have about 20 but some look the same as others so just put a few up.

Attached is a 2016 $1 MOR with a very faint 3rd leg as well. I have deliberately angled the light in the photo so that the leg outline is accentuated. Looking at the coin flat the leg is less obvious.

Yes I found the same Pedro and had to slightly angle the coin. Yours is similar to my 3rd pic.

Nice pic. Looking at other shallow bits of the die should tell you if its a light strike or a fill. Most of mine show lack of detail in other spots making them light strikes.

The question is still whether the ones with no leg at all are fills or die variations though. Which may be a hard question to answer. :/

Thanks Mate, I might see some of the 2015 coins in a couple of years where I am

Just to ensure clarity - the photo I posted was a 2016 not a 2015 $1 MOR. This is the only one I have seen to date where the 3rd leg is very faint but not quite missing.

Light strikes with faint legs happen all the time. We're talking about the completely missing leg on the 2015.

Oh you are a sly little devil Pedro, I was thinking it was a 2015 as well
