Sorting out some of my 50c today and thought this might make a good thread.

I can't really recall seeing a 50c before. (But with a short term memory like Dory at the moment ......)

I think the mark on the obverse may have been done at the RAM to get it off the die?

:laugh2: .... Yes, damn 12 sided things, you have to take a pic of each side! The round ones only have 1 side. :winkextra:

Interesting find Uni :) So you finally got down to the shed and bashed it into the socket like you said you would :mocking:

That's a good find. I haven't seen a partial collar on a 50ยข before.
I always check the edges of coins when noodling -perhaps one day I will get one.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Not sure if these are partial collars, I think they are a bit more "ram strikey" because of misaligned reverse dies.  They have a similar look to Uni's find though.

Very nice Mark! The side on pics are quite similar but with each section having it's own collar impact.

I'm going to list mine tonight and despite it being the first one I've seen I might start it at $25 ..... (I spent most of yesterday afternoon doing the pics above, must have taken hundreds and changed my mind a million times on how and what to present, hopeless).

This was an action shot from yesterday afternoon ....... the result of bumble fingers coming to grips with the camera! :laugh2:

Looks like I may have found one in this morning's noodling session. Nice and straight and even all the way around too. The coin is 0.26mm larger across on the reverse edge compared to the obverse edge.

That looks nice Jeff! :good: Geez you're having a good run, keep it up!
