2016 Coins Found in Circulation

Gee thanks trout your a champ :friends: but I still wish it didn't take so long for coins to get here as most of them are fairly beaten up by the time they get here, should see some of the coloured one's near make ya cry the condition they're in.

This is why I always pay the premium and get them from eBay or direct from RAM because the chances of ME finding new release coins in good condition in Geraldton are pretty remote :ok:

Only wanted a MOR dollar for this year. We picked up a pirate loot set for the grandie while at the mint a few weeks ago, arrrrgh.... :yahoo: there she be, a shiney new 2016 MOR. Needless to say it's now in the album :blush: but I did replace it with pocket change :angel::biggrin:

The Commem ones aren't supposed to be released until 6th June, so unless the RAM have changed their dates (again), it should be a 'normal' one.

A friend of mine found a 2016 50c (50th anniversary) coin in circulation in Perth.
I'm very surprised to hear they are circulating here already.

I just picked up 3 2016 rolls 5c,10 and 20c from the post office that I had totally forgotten I had ordered from Prospects.
It's a pain in the bum as I ordered the same rolls from old mate in Lismore last night :dash1:
I haven't opened them yet but the "enders" look rather good

The 2016 50c I am finding in noodles have been quickly getting marked up on the obverse in circulation.

There was a 2016 50¢, with the ramshead obverse, in the change from my wife's market stall yesterday. That is the first 2016 coin I have seen.
They seem to be turning up faster here than a few years ago. It was usual to not see new coins until the second half of the following year but last year I started finding them within the same calendar year and looks like it might be happening again.
