Still No reply to my email regarding this matter from PCGS. :dash1:
I have tried using the phone number listed on the PCGS site to speak to them but it didn't work.
Has anyone got the correct phone number I can use from my mobile ( we don't have a "Landline" connection) so that I can speak to them instead of just emailing them?

If you called the 800 number, it is a freecall number and available to locals (Americans) only. They have a number for those calling from outside the US, and it does indeed work.

Best to always go via local Australian PCGS dealers to help out with this

This is Not about having a problem with PCGS, This is about getting the Wedding set coins the recognition that they deserve.
These coins are very different to the coins found in the Mint sets/Baby sets and the circulation issues and only a few thousand of them were Minted not Millions like the circ coins :ok:

These wedding set coins are not unlike the pre decimal proofs and were produced in much the same manner .
The only difference is I don't think polished Proof dies were used in the minting process so a Proof designation probably can't be used.
That leaves Proof Like "PL" or Specimen "SP' and as all the decimal proofs have a frosted finish that only leaves the SP .

949 is the area code and 567 1234 is the phone number for PCGS.
1 is the country code for USA. The + doesn't mean anything for what you dial.
To start an international call from Australia you need to dial 0011 first (0015 for faxes but that also works for voice calls too,)
"To call from Australia dial:0011 + Country Code + (Area Code + Telephone Number)" -from Telstra website.

PCGS website gives number for overseas callers as 949-833-0600.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

I just had the thought to add to my post to check the time for California (5:40 pm just now) before you call but....too late already.

All is good Mate I have been trying to get these coins recognised for what they are for a couple of years now and another day to wait to actually talk to someone at PCGS about it isn't a drama :)

I realise that trout , do you submit by yourself or use an Australian PCGS dealer to send on your behalf? Just wondering because if you use an Australian dealer maybe they can also ask ?

I just got an email with some Sage advice.

QuoteHi Jim,

You might want to try getting the wedding set coins slabbed as proof like instead of specimen. This is how PCGS handled the proofish Canadian mint sets. They appear to be struck using a similar process. Referring to the Canadian examples might be enough to convince them.

I have a 2008 Wedding set Bagged and tagged and ready to go.
I just have to come up with a convincing cover letter to send with the submission.
Any suggestions Guys ?

Well, like your correspondent said you need to connect/link the Wedding set coins with the "proofish" Canadian mint sets. Have you got the PCGS Numbers for the Canadian coins? You need to convince PCGS that the Canada coins have set a precedent for the Wedding set coins.
