Character limil

When I post it comes up with an 85 character limit. Is it this programme or my computer settings!

I just got that message on the Spanish galleon post
changed the title to reduce the letters
never had that message before

Looks like it's a bug in the forum software.

I posted a new thread with a long title. It let me. But then it didn't let me post in it until I reduced the too-long title shorter.

I don't think there is a need for a long winded title anyway.
Just make it catchy and relevant then explain what the thread is all about in the first post will do :ok:

I could point you to a number of authors who put the entire post into the title, with a blank body.

A limit is not such a bad thing IMO.
