I know many of you lot are anti-cryptos or at least totally disinterested. Move along, nothing to see....

For those who ARE interested however, I would be remiss if I didn't extend an offer I've made over in the AGB group on Reddit.

The Bitcoin Group $20 million float closes Friday. I'm already in for $2,000, and I'm taking a second parcel sometime in the next couple of days.

Given that a) the minimum investment is $2k, b) the offer is not open to US citizens (and some other restricted persons) and c) I have friends who wanted small parcels, it was suggested we do a 'group buy', so to speak.

I agreed, and will include shares for other people in my second parcel. I have no exit strategy at this point, seeing this as a long-term play. However, there are a number of options.

- Off-market transfers are harder nowadays than they used to be, with the government's Terrorist-Under-Every-Bed mentality and the opportunistic greed of the registries meaning it takes an ID check and a $50 processing fee to transfer shares.

- For On-market trades I use CommSec, who charge I think about $15 now (its been a while since I traded). If anyone wants out, I would sell their parcel and remit the nett via bank transfer to them or a crypto exchange like CoinSpot where they could buy BTC or whatever.

- If someone wanted to sell at what I considered to be an attractive price, I would happily buy them for myself, avoiding the brokerage.

In the event (unlikely in light of the 20%-ish rise in the BTC price in the past few weeks) that the share price dipped below 20 cents, I would probably be buying more on-market, and offer to add to other peoples' holdings.

IF anyone here is interested, first of all, do your research. Check the ASX and BCG websites, download the prospectus and read the market reports and analyses. The risks are many and varied, and well documented. Then if you want a sizable piece, do it yourself, either through the OMB app or website (I can supply a reference number if desired), direct through BCG (again I can supply a contact who will streamline it all), or through your broker.

If you want a handful of shares, talk to me.
