Thought I'd start a new thread for this and any other stolen items that could be identified.

Below is from their Facebook page. A key item stolen is a golden goose.

Oh no so we have lost another gold swan! :(
Mark my words it is already scrapped

Do collectors believe in safes? True, all safes can be broken into, but a good heavy one is a detriment to burglars.

That is provided you have a good secure base that will take the weight of the safe!

Nothing is impregnable given enough time, motivation and resources
With a big enough standing army you could take fort Knox.

Hello,

Even safety deposit box's in Banks get robbed. A good hiding spot is cheaper than a safe, and if nobody knows what you have, your Lap top or whatever is the current thing to steal will be all you lose. Does not sound like a druggie, more like somebody knew what was there. A safe in your garage and a Dog in the yard would be my suggestion. Statistically you are far less likely to be broken into if you have a Dog. And you will never lose your keys. How come ? Clip the Keys to the Dog's collar, when you need them call the Dog and they come to you ! Now for another Dog story I heard from a Ranger. A bloke comes home, and his Dog has bailed up a bloke on his door-step. What had happened is a burglar broke in, and was loading his Van with the owners property. The Dog who was happy enough in the yard took exception to this and jumped the fence !

Long story that i posted here a while back, guy on the Gold Coast lost several valuable gold/silver coins he had hidden in a old printer.Apparently thieves have a small metal detector of some sort and can locate metals like coins & hidden safes.

yes
a guy who I know was robbed last year & the coppers reckon that they zoom around the house with a metal detector
in 30 minutes they took over $35,000 worth of gold jewellery (Indian family)

So moral of the story is to make the thieves confused with hidden nothings everywhere.

That, or have a money bin that they'd need an excavator and a tip truck to empty. ;)

Hrm.. why do I have a sudden urge to build this in Minecraft? Its probably been done of course... as well as a scale model https://www.flickr.com/photos/matsgull/sets/72157602185120037/ and a Lego version http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2015/06/fan-creates-detailed-lego-replica-of-uncle-scrooges-money-bin/ :)

I am still trying to work out what you would use the eraser dust for.

Making new erasers? Tyres are made with a good portion of recycled rubber buffings, so why not erasers too?
