This was another newie for me, it appears to be the cud extension of some previous pre spew roo die cracks that I've come across.
Note there are cuds either side of the tail and a pair of smaller ones on the back of roo #1.

The following three are the pre cud die cracks that I'd previously photographed to date.
Note that all three have die cracks either side of tail and appear to have cuds in a similar place on roo #1.

This begs the question are these related to the larger spew roo cuds that appear on the 2010s?

The answer is ..... (drum roll for those who enjoy errors) ...... no.
The other spew roo cuds do not join the tail of the #3 roo like the one in the first image does.

And here's some pictures ......

Small Spew Roo Cud version #1

Small Spew Roo Cud version #2 ... this one extends further to the right along the second roo's back than version #1

Large Spew Roo Cud, this does not appear to be an extension of the small cud as it does not extend as high up the nose of #1 roo and also appears to be a bit further to the right of the 3rd roo's tail.

Large Spew Roo Cud with Rabbit Ears. This appears to be the same as the Large Spew Roo Cud, just with added ears.

FWIW, these are all really manifestations of the same die weakness, which forms a crack across the back of roo 2, through his head down into roo 3, with the side crack up to roo 1.

So spew roos, lizard tongues, rabbit ears are all just different versions of the same thing. Some examples, especially just before the die shattered, being more spectacular than others.

As distinct from the 1 cuds, such as boxing gloves, and the roo 5 cuds and cracks around his chest and belly, and the crack from his toes to the rim.

Nice array of Cuds, cracks etc Uni! :yahoo:

Did you see what looks like a small cud on the chest of R2 in the 6th image?

Thanks all. I think I can see where you mean Nevol. I'll have to check some of my other pics of that coin to see if it's clearer.

this is the first rabbit ears I have found in a long time ,
this one is dated 2013 .

take care because we care ..

Unicorn

Gee Kel, that's the largest 2013 cud I've seen!!! :good:

Pedro

It's a wonder the kangaroo hasn't toppled over with that cud on it's neck. Bottler of a find Kel!

Nevol

Good pick up Kel. :yahoo:

Do I see a little narrow cud on R3 where it joins R2's shoulder?

I was looking at that too Nevol. :scratch_one-s_head: Kel's one looks to be different from the other 2013s I've seen (not just in size) but as it doesn't seem to have the spur die crack coming from the top of the base of the 3rd roo's tail heading toward the second roo's chest.  :dontknow:

Kel, is there any chance you could post a couple of full coin pics, as it's really got me intrigued if this one is a grown extension of any smaller cuds / die cracks or if this is how it first formed. (A pic of both obverse and reverse would be great if you can :beg: ).

The pic below shows the spur (red arrow). It can be hard to see depending on the lighting. Now I'm wondering if the section on the 3rd roo's tail (blue arrow) is an earlier version of what Nevol has spotted above? (Unfortunately I don't have my coin any more to have a closer look).
