]I purchased this in a random box of stuff from an aussie auction but can not seem to find information on it.  I can find info on other coins from the Sydney 200 olympic coin program but not this particular one.

reverse is not black but shiny silver it just has the reflection of the camera lens making it dark.  When I find out where it is I will take another photo lol (has to be somewhere in my office)

I'm pretty sure that's what they call deep cameo but don't take my word for it :winkextra: and had a google search and couldn't find anything sorry so hopefully one of the medallion collectors can help.

Australian coin

google and the coin blog shows a gold version, but not with the same wording, the Switzerland part is odd

ausjack

I wonder if it's out of a PNC, it's got me stumped but I'm not really into medallions either.

It is very odd I have searched the net for hours over the last 12 months mailed members of the ANA and nothing with that wording has come up.  I guess I could email the mints once I find where I put it last week get some new photos lol

ausjack

You might have to email the IOC and see what they have to say

Maybe if you take a pic of just the reverse and do a google search as it keep wanting to do the first part of the image so not showing anything

Just trying to do a search image so hope this works as it's the last thing I can think of trying

Nope it didn't want to work for me sorry, I tried :( I hope you can find something about it as it's got me very curious now :)

Please keep us informed if you do :ok:

Contact Perth mint. They would have been the ones to produce this as no other mint had the ability to pad print this many colours on a coin in 2000

Australian coin

I have not been able to find that exact design, but the value looks to be anywhere from 5 - $27
the 27 would be if its silver

NZCoinerrors

I have just taken more photos as I think my old ones were miss leading as it is not a black finish that was just the camera lens reflecting on the proof finish the side with the colour has a matte finish

I also just emailed the Perth mint will see if they reply

you gotta love cameo/deep as it's so hard to get a decent pic, mine always come out either black or white :dash1:
Good luck with it and hope you can find something out because it has me stumped..but that's not hard

Well this is all they could give me from the Perth Mint.  Ticks a few boxes but hard to sell something no one knows about lol

Good morning Jason

The Perth Mint attended a distributors meeting In Lausanne and to commemorate the occasion struck and distributed a small number of the silver medallions to the attendees.

The number of medallions distributed was not recorded.

nice work. print the email and store with item.
and I would buy an item like this

NZCoinerrors

Good point I must save that email.  I normally only collect NZ stuff so will probably sell it at some point but knowing that it is not well known and potentially rare it is tempting to hold on to it lol.  It is always annoying when Mints dont keep information on items like this or can not find the information.
