Has anyone else noticed the die crack on the 2017 $1?

On the reverse, it goes down to the right from the base of the 1

I have several progression stages of it so far and will pop up some pics in a thread ..... hopefully over the weekend.

Pedro

Not as yet Uni but I haven't seen too many of them (looking more for rabbit ears anyway).

A spew roo is always good to find and worth keeping.

However this one might just go back in the pond!

I hate that, you find a decent error but the coins condition is crap.

JeffH

A South Africa 5 rand in a $100 bag of 20¢. There is no way you could mistake that for a 20¢.
[1995 in case you don't have one Steve.]

I do have that one already, but thank you for the offer.
Nice find by the way. :)

OFEC count = 258

JeffH

Just done $400 of 50¢ which contained two each of 1985 and 1993!

Great work Jeff! :good: They are getting so hard to find now, 85s especially.

Have seen a few 2017s of late Uni but no die cracks so far.

Pedro

I'll have to get mine sorted out and take some snaps Pedro.

There's also die cracks on some of the 2018s on the bottom left of the Queen's bust.

Will snap the progressions of them too once I'm done sorting.

Pedro

After more than six months without a noodle it was time to get back in there. Even resorted to noodling 5c pieces to fill some gaps in my circulation set - successfully picked up two 2017 & two 2018 5c. Not so fortunate with the 10c.

Filled more holes with the $1s - 2018 MOR & 2018 ANZACs. Found the best examples to date of the 1986 $1 and 2011 CHOGM $1 and also caught a Possum Magic $1.

No 2019 $1s as yet.

Top job Pedro! :good:

I haven't noodled for ages either (Fathers Day from memory). Fortunately the $1 2018 bags from the RAM tour let me find the die cracks I was talking about.
(Was a bit sad that there were no rabbit ears, but you get that I suppose!)

Do have an interesting 2018 variety to post about once I get some pics done though.

Mister T

I went through some 5c, 20c and 50c pieces this morning.
Got a 1972 5c piece and a few 2017s.
Got a Northern Territory and Don Bradman 20c.
Got a 1970, 1988 and a Victoria and Tasmania 50c.
Nothing foreign this time.

JeffH

Another 1985 50¢.  :yahoo:

There can't be many left for you to find Jeff :laugh2:
