First rotated "upset" I have found: https://imgur.com/gallery/u7nt3Wt
Found in a $500 lot, along with a 1998 rabbit ear. Very happy with the find.

Good one and maybe some more later if lucky.

Only another eleven for your upset clock face.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

I've heard of people attempting to complete a clockface, does this mean that this error is only found in intervals or 30°?
Noel

jens coins

No you can have all degrees on this rotated coin.

Noelos237

Any more desirable than others?

the 180° seem to be popular

The hardest of all the 2001 COF Upsets to find are those between 140 degrees and 220 degrees of upset.

I have found just 498 COF Upsets and have completed three clock faces.

I am now on the lookout for upsets that are 6 degrees apart to complete a minute by minute clockface.

Talking of which, I found a 2001 COF Upset that I was able measure at 288 degrees of Upset which I needed and it went strait into my minute by minute clockface.

I only need around another 35 coins to complete the project.

That's extremely impressive. You must hold the largest upset collection to date.
You said "minute by minute" are you talking about minutes of a degree or minutes on the clock? If it's minutes of time does that mean you need a total of 60 coins to complete your latest clockface? Sounds tough to find them at exact 6 degree intervals. How many would you need to complete a 360 degree collection or is that something you have not considered yet.

JeffH

He said "clock face"; not "protractor".
1º degree increments would be virtually impossible to collect all 360. And measuring the offset to that precision would be a task in itself.

That said, being well on the way to a 60 minute clock face is quite impressive. I am still several short of being able to do an hour face.

I do have a few spare to swap if anyone is contemplating the same exercise.

I am in the process of doing a minute by minute, (time) at the moment.

I will be including the half hour positions which means I will need 732 coins with the exact measurement required.

As I said earlier, I am 35 coins short of that goal.

if you have the opportunity to have the book Renniks Australian Pre Decimal and Decimal Coin Errors handy by Ian McConnelly, then my clockface can be viewed on page 125.

Enjoy.

I have seen that image when reading the book before, never took much thought as to who owned them. That's very cool
