Jeff, nice find on the 2004 bighead.
I can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

over on Bribie island for a weeks holiday , arrives back home today
we went to the bowls club for dinner first night , and in my change I got
an 2019 dollar coin with the S in the square box ,
been doing the rounds for a while I think , not in as new condition
but still a keeper for me now .
take care because we care ..

Triggersmob

Good find Kel.
Considering there is the same amount of each coin going
into circulation, the "S" seems harder to find. Has anyone
else found this to be the case?

Quote from: 'JeffH' pid='118472' dateline='1550024925'An interesting noodling session this morning.
From two $100 bags of 20¢ I have pulled aside;
•15 x 2019 -first 2019 coins of any denomination I have found
•55 x 2018 -having only ever found twelve of them previously
•9 x Centenary of Federation -5 x Northern territory, 2 x Tasmania, a Queensland and a Norfolk island (the one I find least)
•11 x 2016 Decimal anniversary
•3 x Bradman -one is a full brilliance aUNC
•A 1995 UN Anniversary
•A 2008 with a very nice, clear wave gap
•A 2004 bighead/pointy A
•2 x different 2015 WWI Newslimited issues
And of course the usual suspects; some Kiwis and other commemoratives but none good enough to consider keeping

Now to sit down and work out what to keep and what to send back to the pond.

Nice haul.

I'll have to check but I thought the only one I found was an S.

I have had a reasonable amount of spare "S" and "U"'s but can't find any "A"'s to complete some more sets.

Normally I wouldn't mention a poor noodling session but this one is exceptional. Just went through a $100 bag of 20¢ and only six (6) -that is VI- non platypus reverse.
No desirable ones and none worth considering keeping.
Oh well, it is a "swings and roundabouts" game.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Mister T

I went through some rolls of 50c pieces. Nothing really - some newish-looking 2015, 2016 and 2017 but that was it really.

Mister T

I went through some 20c pieces and got a 2019, a 2001 Queensland a 2002 New Zealand.
Some more 50c pieces yielded nothing.

JeffH

Just did $200 of 50¢ coins for;
•1985
•1993 x 2
•Centenary of Federation x 5
•15 x commemoratives pre 2000 in aUNC and up including an excellent ramshead. Maybe someone has been spending their stash?

Good return from that bag.
