I have a friend that bought this trial medallion but he can't find any information on it anywhere, I could swear that I seen the uniface being used as an example on another website but I can't find said website. The only photo I can find of it is the only photo on google that I can see and it is of the coin that he bought.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Whoops sorry mate, wasn't even thinking. But the listing that was on ebay is the one that he bought lol. I've seen that ERII on a couple of other medallions and they were Australian military medallions or badges, a couple of other collectors were thinking military too.

I have deleted my response as it was that far off target, , my eyes must have been closed.

Sorry, but it's not a trial medallion. It's just a uniface generic medallion the RAM made for sale to anyone who wanted to buy one. There are two sizes with this same design in Carlisle, C1977/18a is 30mm, silvered and struck by Amor. C1977/26 is 52mm, silvered and struck by the RAM. The example of C1977/26 pictured in Carlisle is engraved on the blank side, as a bowling championship medal.

Judging by the slight differences in proportion, I'd say the medal pictured in the OP is actually the smaller one, C1977/18a. The 2000 Carlisle price supplement gives a value of $10 for it.
