Good luck with the recovery
It\'s not about who you know it\'s about what you know

Terrible news about your workmate trout. Good to hear you're on the mend.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Good news about the graft and it must be going well if they're letting you go home, and great news about the smokes.  :yahoo:

Sorry to hear about your work colleague though. :cray:

Jesus Jim
Just googled the news about your crash
I am so relieved that you made it and of course saddened by knowing that your work mate died. I hope that the other younger fellow will also be OK.

The grafts are looking good, just the tops of the last 3 fingers need to heal a wee bit better before I can get out of here.
Getting some mobility in the elbow and wrist now, the fingers are going to take a lot of work because they are all pinned and were pretty much wrecked in the prang.
It has only been a couple of weeks and these guys and gals here at royal perth have done an amazing job of panel beating me back into shape so far :good:

I have my fingers and toes crossed hoping to be discharged on Monday and head off home.
Its only an hours flight to Geraldton from Perth and if I need to I can get the morning flight to Perth an back on the arvo flight if this mob need to see me.

yeah good -  make sure they (the grafts) grip in the wet before you start doing stuff around the house and so on

I am sure that you have been warned of the consequences

I expect this will slow you down a bit so try to be patient as you are in RECOVERY gear not BUSINESS AS USUAL!!!!! and I peg you as a fast or stop bloke and for quite some time you will need to be in 'steady she goes' mode

Ozcoins

That sounds like very good advice.
Please pay attention Trout!

ausjack

Yes good advice but hard to follow..well it is for me as I always over do it so pay the price later :(

Im hearing ya Mate
Got a knock back on the going home request and will be in this s--t hole until at least Monday :dash1:

I "gloved: the same arm 45 years ago and went straight back to work on deck crayfishing after a 3 month stint in hospital.
I achieved 3 years of physio results in 6 months by doing this :)

As soon as all the bones have mended and all the holes in my skin have healed I intend to return to work again.
I am one of these dozy bastards that actually loves his work :dash1:
Until that time however I will have to be patient for at least another 6-8 weeks, and boy o boy that is a big ask :)

As long as I can get home soon so that I can get stuck into my coins all will be good.
If I get stuck in here for another couple of weeks I will either go nuts or there will be bloodshed :diablo::)
