Congratulations Jeff.
The FG series of falcon is an excellent car.
I have a G6E turbo and am very happy with it.
The ZF 6 speed gearbox is the best auto I have ever used.
I have added an external gearbox cooler to mine to avoid the possibility of the "ZF milkshake" as well as a filter for the turbo oil feed.
I hope you are very happy with your new car.

JeffH

Agreed a good gearbox; way superior to the 4 speed in our BA Falcon. I would have been happy with a manual but other family members don't think that way.
The new car now has a proper spare tyre replacing the inadequate spacesaver one. A left foot rest is on the list too.

I forgot.
I also added a full size matching spare as well, very early on.
Great minds think alike ☺
We also have a BA wagon. Still too good to get rid of even after 18 years and 260,000km
A friend borrowed it today to transport a bed.
I am a little tempted to turn it into a drag car.
For those into drag cars and/or fabrication, take a look at the youtube channel "haulass garage".
Episode 7 onwards is a father and son building a super low budget drag car.

This is my little baby.
2010 Mitsubishi Colt VRX with CVT.
For a 1.5L motor, these things get up and go.
The motor is 4A91, unlike the earlier models and the turbo model, which have a 4G15 or 4G15T.
Mostly I like the fuel economy. I get about 16 to 17 KM per litre.
You have 3 driving modes in these. Normal (D), Sports (S) or push the stick to the left and you have semi manual with 6 gears.
I have been known to use the sports occasionally, well maybe more than occasionally. :)

Thanks for your post Steve.
Its clear that your car makes you happy and I think that if you get into your car and it puts a smile on your face, then you have a great car for you.

JeffH

Looks good Steve.
I'm with you on the manual mode. Same with my new one, six speed. Also the cruise control will change down a gear, or two, on a downhill over run to limit speed build up.

Triggersmob

I don't have cruise control, but if I come to a stop while in manual mode, it will change down by it's self, just in case I forget. :)

Pedro

Ah, ... no Uni. You would, however, have our everlasting appreciation of your valuation skills which would be priceless.  ;)

PS: $1.3m.
