A few other stats for those who might be interested:

Over 1000 posts = 18 members
100-999 Posts = 48 members
1-99 Posts = 124 Members

The rest have not posted, but many of them do log in regularly.

Yeah, I found it hard to post immediately after signing up and spent a lot of my time reading and found quite a lot of info from searching for posts.

I still put a fair amount of consideration before posting a message, probably because I feel like the new guy.

Saying that everyone has been very nice and accepting, so my comfort level is increasing and there is always a lot of positive feedback and discussion to my post.

Set the forum unlock completely after 1 post to the welcome page. Info posted there can help forum regulars understand where interest is. My 2c

I think czark is suggesting no access, read-only access or some other kind of limited access to the forum for new members until a post has been made on the Welcome page. I'm not sure how that could be implemented, but that defeats the purpose of admitting people to the forum in the first place and would intimidate some.

This around here seem to have slowed a bit.
I have certainly been posting a lot less (and my noodling had ceased too) - too busy with other stuff going on.

As you guys know, I'm a bit of a Reddit fan, and I occasionally poke my nose in to /r/dogecoin. :angel:

Well, I was telling a mate about all this stuff, and he was intrigued. I threw a few coins at him, got him to sign up and write a hello post.

... and he hit the noob anti-spam traps.

He walked away, and hasn't been back since. And since he associates the two, he doesn't want to know about doge either.

It takes all sorts to make the world, and some people really take things personally. So rules have to be carefully considered.

Hello,

When I joined I could only see the few sections that are public. The rest is good, although I sinned and was warned early on. This is where you can lose a new member. It may work better with only a few more sections available when you sign in. Because you have to join to see, it may not be what some people want / expect.

CCF has a certain spot that opens up magically when you hit 1000 posts, I'm buggered if I can find that bit on this site :angel:
