Nice pictures of the ship.   Is it the Dawn Princess?

If it is, one can see the window that was part of our cabin on our last four voyages combined as one.

Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

My eyes are not as good as they were jeffh.

Robbie, my first flight in a helicopter was in New Zealand. About 20 odd years ago, I won a work promotion and went to Queenstown on the South Island. We landed at Queenstown air port and were transferred to the town by helicopter, via flight over the top of the Remarkable Mountains. The next day we took another helicopter ride up river so we could raft the white water. It was all very awesome.

yep yep Goldie
the Dawn
apparently small by todays ships standards but jolly big enough for me
I don't catch lifts - so 7 floors of 16 steps each level and multiplied several times a day was enough for me!!

trigger - that is an awesome photo - what an amazing experience

:i_agree: Absolutely!!!! What a great combination of lighting.

I took me little pal Tigger with me
and took a snap of him on the balcony at most of the ports
Tigger had a great time - he lights up the ceiling with stars at night time & he is my bed time pal - so he just had to come along for the trip

these are the ships life boats that they use to transport passengers onto the jetties in bays that don't have ship's docking
the passengers get into them and off they go
guess who dropped her coffee over the side of the balcony - with the boats and people loading up directly below!! big oopsie but we were so high that I think the coffee only landed on the balcony below (well that was all I could see anyways)

Nice photo, but not mine.

Robbie, I sometimes get called Tigger instead of Trigger. :)
Did they make any towel animals for you?

no
just chocolates on the bed each night
..... and I won the steward over and got lots of chocolates!!

let me know when the piccies get too boring

entering Dunedin - absolutely breathtaking country

Akaroa bay with promenade deck in view - the frame is what has released and winched down the life boat for passenger transport
I went all around this bay in a jet boat (to my own amazement)
Seeing a country by ship is incredible

better view of the promenade deck
three times = I mile
the hubby did it a few times

Goldseeker

I have done many laps around that same deck and have done several trips in the TENDERS between ship/shore/ship.

The Dawn Princess may be getting long in the tooth but the 1950 odd passengers that it can/will take is enough for me particularly when one has to get a raffle ticket to get ashore in the tenders.

She has two sister ships.   They are the Sea Princess and the Sun Princess.   The Dawn will be transferred to P & O in mid 2017 for what reason, I can't tell but maybe with two almost new big ships arriving in Australia under the Princess flag may have something to do with it.

I spent many hours at the stern of the Dawn, on deck seven looking at the turmoil of the sea from the propellers.   Absolutely mind boggling.   The noise was terrific and only wish I could listen to it more.

I had most of my meals on the last voyage of 72 days up in the Horizon Court buffet.   Only had four or five meals in the formal dinning room.

Will get around to post a few photos of our last voyage soon.   (One person keeps asking for some).

good review Goldie

I understand that - I spent a lot of time there as well - took a few videos but can't load them here

we have no complaints what so ever
we had most of our breakfasts in the Horizon court - boy they put on a feast there!

Triggersmob

We don't use the formal dining at all. Only ever use the Horizon Court.
I just love the freedom to choose what ever I feel like eating.

I know what you mean with the wash from the propellers too.
I could just sit there and watch that for hours. So relaxing.

Can't wait till our next cruise.
