Looking back in my old stomping ground, I came across this little number....interested to hear other opinions. The price is starting to creep up, so want to make sure it's worth a punt.

IMHO, I think it looks genuine and would grade EF.

I think your grade is about right.  The gloss on the surfaces leads me to believe it's been treat with oil though.

A very difficult year to find good coins. Might grade AU53 at PCGS.....

oh my florin

I would be careful the pictures seem like they could be hiding quite a bit. Otherwise I agree with markn on the oil treatment.

Thanks for the feedback and advice. I was a little concerned about the amount of darkness in the photos. I also though that there was a certain depth and shine in the coin. I never thought about the oil treatment, but that could explain it.

Still 50/50....the auction expires at 6.30am, so unlikely to get up early to try and win it.

Be very careful with that particular seller. He is known to engage in dummy bids to push the price up.

Bidder p***p (892) - Bid activity (%) with this seller:    100%

I think that probably says it all.

Awesome work Nancy. After viewing a few other postings, p***p makes an appearance elsewhere and inflates the bid by 10% at the closing.

So tampered coins and dummy bids....One for the naughty list.
