Lashed out on this one tonight and there was some pretty stiff competition so it wasn't cheap but I think it will slab up very well

Nice one Stevo :good: give it too me and no one will get hurt :laugh2:

Going out on a limb because of the pic's but would guess MS62/3, hard to say due to a little wear and a few marks here and there but still very nice :)

Its hard to tell. The coin is well struck up but the picture dosnt seem right. I would gamble on this one to if the price was right. I am keen to hear how it goes

oh my florin

The Australian Predecimal coins from the 20's are more or less notorious for weaker strikes due to lower die pressure to extend die life. I expect this is why the star isn't fully struck up and appears generally flatter.

My estimate would be AU58 or MS62/63 depending on how it looks in hand and determining what is due to a weak strike or potential wear.

Overall a very nice coin ausjack :D

Cost me about the equivalent Bluesheet price at AU53 so if it grades AU58
I'll be up by a long way but always a gamble with poor photos although if it MS
I'll be very happy

I think your money is safe. I'd say a certainty for AU58 with an outside chance of MS62 or 3.

What do you think it will grade Steve?

I think it will go AU55-58 although I have seen better coins than this grade AU53 so
it all depends on their determination of the strike. It would be nice if it went higher
but I'm just dreaming

It looks better than AU53 to me.  Is the gloss on the high points just an artifact of the images or is it on the coin?

The high points are not overly glossy but have some shine
It has good lustre though

Well I'll stick with AU58 or MS62-3.  Too much meat on it for anything less.

Great images Steve.
You would be unlucky if this comes back AU58, I can't spot any missing lustre but it is a bit "baggy" but I recon MS here :good:

Great coin Mate :yahoo:
