I think they stuffed this up.
This is a quote from the mint...

"This six-coin set features a penny, a threepence, a sixpence, a shilling, a florin and a pound coin. Each coin was struck between the years of 1914 and 1918."

But they show a Half Penny in the set and no pound coin.
Is there even such a thing as a pound coin?

Yes, They also had a 21 shilling coin called a guinea :)

Also on the old 1 pound and ten shilling notes they had the words Sovereign and Half Sovereign on them :ok:

I'll have a sovereign for $129 any day of the week.

It is obviously a typo and the "Pound" coin is in fact a half Penny.
I wonder if you could buy half a dozen of these and "Insist" that they honour they advertising description and include a Sovereign dated from 1915-1918 in the sets. :diablo: :)

The :diablo: on my shoulder is telling me that it is a deliberate attempt at deception by Perth Mint.
I sprayed the  on the other shoulder with "Baygone" because it would NOT surprise me one little bit :laugh2:

No we wouldn't do anything like that ;)

I just thought it was funny and more so after looking at the coins your meant to get that don't look much like the coins on the folder or is it just me old eyes playing tricks on me :scratch_one-s_head:

As this is a polite family friendly forum I won't say what I think of those lying sacks of ......
The image they show first up is the 6 coins, all in high grade (Unc?) with the coppers both at least RB. At this point I wonder how many novices buying coins for that hard to please relative (most of us probably) will just buy that quality set that they saw to tick another name off the Christmas list.
The coins shown on the following images are not the same ones on the cover but are VG to F and worth perhaps $15-30. So why the fork are they wanting $129 for bullion?
A sovereign is a pound, we never had guineas since Proclamation coin days, except as a unit of account (often auctioneers would sell in guineas and pay in pounds with the difference their commission).

That's what I was talking about thanks Neal :good: I thought I'd suss it out a bit more and seen the price and thought WOW and then the other pic's of what coins you'll actually get and thought ya gotta be joking and so many poor people will get duped this time of year and thought the same about the grade and also the colour of the coppers and thought I should make some myself but really some of the mint sets I've got aren't quite like the cover.. there should be a thing called false advertisement or something like that and don't start me on food advertising because it's a total joke..they must all be jockey's doing ad's because I get one of those burgers and it doesn't fill one hand let alone two :(

I wonder how long it took for someone to scour all the dealers "Junk Boxes" to find enough coins to create this Garbage.
If this was done by an eBay seller He/She would of been dragged over the coals by now and vilified .
Just because it is The Perth Mint doing this people seem to think "Ho Hum"
This is MOST definitely a "Scam" regardless of who is doing it.
The Perth Mints Number is 0894217275 , I suggest that you direct your concerns at the source :ok:
I did nearly an hour ago ,  They have changed the "Pound" to a "Florin" but the entire package is misleading. :dodgy:

Coiny Chris

Hello,

For someone that likes to have some fun, take a screen shot and buy the set. Then get back to them and ask for the missing Coins. They are a Mint, they can make a special Coin for you. If not take them to court. A lawyer who like Coins could have quite a bit of fun here ! And amuse us.
